Dear Tweeters:

Mike Shepard recently asked:

>My question is, do our Turkey Vultures ever get to Veracruz, or do they just
>end up in California or western Mexico for the winter. Anybody know?

Given the thousands of North American Turkey Vultures that pass through
Panama every spring and fall to winter on the llanos of Venezuela and
Colombia (and elsewhere in South America I imagine), I always assumed that
some of them were "ours" (i.e. from BC). I don't know if there is any
banding evidence for this, though.
