Subject: Vancouver Lake area 10-19

An hour drive west of Vancouver yielded the following this afternoon:
--a Varied Thrush right next to the river in among some robins (we had
them low on Sauvie on Saturday as well)
--a dark Merlin (suckleyii) harassing stalings and blackbirds.
--a disappointing number of geese, and even fewer ducks and other
waterfowl.
--still a few dowitchers just out of town
