I visited Ridgefield NWR for the first time today. Among the
highlights were a flock of at least 50 SANDHILL CRANES, including
several performing their crane "dance"! I also saw a bird which I
couldn't identify. It was robin-size, brown with a yellow eyebrow and
yellow around the throat and bobbed its tail constantly. My guess was
either a pipit or waterthrush. Anybody familiar with Ridgefield have
any ideas?
