Volunteer Winter Backyard Birds Surveys for the
Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.

The WDFW is now in its sixth year of conducting volunteer
winter backyard bird surveys. These surveys are for
Washington residents who are reasonably confident in bird
identification. The surveys begin in November and end in
March. Counts are done on two days every-other week from
your own home.

If you would like to participate in the WDFW Winter Backyard
Bird Surveys, please e-mail your name, address and
telephone number to Patricia Thompson:
thomppat at dfw.wa.gov. The deadline to be in this year's
survey mailing is OCTOBER 21. Any requests received after
that will be put on next year's mailing list.
