This is Kas Dumroese with the northern Idaho / eastern Washington /
northeastern Oregon bird hotline.

As predicted last weekend, a single BLUE JAY was heard in Moscow,
Latah Co., ID on Oct 15 near East City Park by Charles Swift. East
City Park is along Third Street about 6 blocks east of downtown.

Two GRAY-CROWNED ROSY FINCHES were seen on top of Mica Mt. between
Deary and Princeton, Latah Co., ID on Oct 11 by Tom Besser. ID
DeLorme 58, B-2.

A flock of 11 BONAPARTE'S GULLS were on the St. Maries, Benewah Co.,
ID sewage ponds on Oct 10, according to Charles Swift. The sewage
ponds are about 1.5 miles north of St. Maries along ID 3. ID DeLorme
60, C-2.

A single female SURF SCOTER was at the mouth of the Palouse River in
Lyons Ferry SP in the southeast corner of Franklin Co., WA today, Oct
16, according to Mike and MerryLynn Denny. This park is right in the
corner of Franklin, Whitman, Columbia and Walla Walla counties. WA
DeLorme 55, D-6.5.

Below McNary Dam at Umatilla, Umatilla Co., OR were 2 COMMON TERNS and
a single FORESTER'S TERN on Oct 11, according to the Denny's. In the
wildlife area downstream of the dam were 3 GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROWS and
5 or so VIRGINIA RAILS. OR DeLorme 85, A-7.

At the Walla Walla River Delta in western Walla Walla Co., WA was a
single CASPIAN TERN, one SNOW GOOSE, 95 LONG-BILLED DOWITCHERS, and 4
BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS on Oct 11, as reported by the Denny's. The
delta is just north of the jct of US 12 and US 730. Park in the
pullout on the west side of US 12 across from Madame Dorian Park and
take the well worn trail down to the delta. Just north, at US 12
milepost 300 were 11 GREATER YELLOWLEGS. And, in the same vicinity
are 3 GREAT EGRETS along the Walla Walla River. Look for them in the
bends of the Walla Walla River between the delta and Touchet along US
12. WA DeLorme 40, D-1.
