Some bird records from Douglas County on Sunday, 18 October.

riparian areas along Indian Camp Road, NE of Wenatchee:
3 common thrushes--Townsend's Solitaire, Varied Thrush, American Robin
2 common kinglets - Golden-crowned, Ruby-crowned
White-breasted Nuthatches and Mt. Chickadees where there were scattered
ponderosa pines
1 Steller's Jay flying high in the air along the stream course (must be one
of the fall dispersing birds in this "nonmigratory" species; perhaps all of
them are young), also another in Waterville, which doesn't look much like
Steller's Jay habitat either
a few Dark-eyed Juncos and White-crowned Sparrows and one late Spotted Towhee
no other passerines

farmlands NW of Ephrata:
1 Prairie Falcon
30 Mt. Bluebirds (also a few in sagebrush elsewhere on the plateau), seems late
1 N. Shrike
3 W. Meadowlarks (most of these leave the Columbia Basin in winter)

also a late Barn Swallow at the head of Rocky Ford Creek, E of Ephrata,
Grant Co.
