Hi All
This time of year around here I am very thankful for waterfowl. Otherwise it
seems there would be little to count, except for chickadees (all flavors),
Red-breasted Nuthatches, Steller's Jays and Golden-crowned Kinglets.
Along the sloughs at the northern tip of the lake, it is AMERICAN WIGEON
time. One male and at least one female EURASION WIGEON have stayed about a
week. One group of BUFFLEHEADS has returned.
This season seems to be shaping up to be quite owl-y. BARRED OWLS are
regularly sighted along with NORTHERN-PYGMIES and NORTHERN SAW-WHETS.

When the birding gets tough, the tough go birding! :-))

Cheers
