Around the caretaker's residence in Lyons Ferry Marina & Campground in
northwest most Columbia County: one Rock Wren, one Mountain Chickadee,
at least ten Golden-crowned Kinglets, one "Slate-colored" Dark-eyed Junco
among the dozens of "Oregon", and five Pine Siskin.

In Lyons Ferry State Park in eastmost Franklin County at the mouth of
Palouse River: two Western Grebe, one Horned Grebe, eighteen Tundra Swan
flew over, one Virginia Rail, three Killdeer, forty Bonaparte's Gulls,
one immature Cooper's Hawk, one Barn Owl, one Great Horned Owl, two Downy
Woodpeckers, one "Yellow-shafted" Northern Flicker, another Mountain
Chickadee-this one keeping company with a Black-capped Chickadee, six
plus Golden-crowned Kinglets, one Ruby-crowned Kinglet, two Varied
Thrushes and two American Tree Sparrows. American Goldfinches-a bunch.

At Palouse Falls State Park-in the river below the park-two Dippers.

Above Starbuck, along the road to Little Goose Dam, a Prairie Falcon.

Four miles south of Lyons Ferry along Lyons Ferry Rd. in Walla Walla
County: a "Krider's" Red-tailed Hawk.
