Hi Michael and other tweets,

Just wanted to post a quick note that Gene Coulon park
is in the city of Renton and not Kent - not a big deal but I
wouldn't want to confuse anyone who went looking for it on a
map. As Michael noted it's at the SE corner of Lk Washington.
If you stop there be sure to check the cove just to the
West of the park, near the large Boeing building. You can park
near the children's playground and walk towards the beach to
find it. This is probably the most consistently birdy area for
ducks like Ring-necked, Canvasback and Common Mergansers.
Also, if anyone sees the White-fronted Geese it would
be interesting to know if there are any immatures in the flock.
The size of the flock hasn't changed much in the last few years
but I suppose there could be some new additions and some adult
mortality to even things out.
*Thanks* to Michael Hobbs for being such a faithful
poster of info to Tweeters - especially the Marymoor park
reports - someday I'm going to run across a flock of Black
Swifts like those seen on occasion at Marymoor - and a grand
day it'll be - jinx bird number one on my list!
