"published" refers to posting on the Internet, and overall database
refers to a site of potential inclusion of these records into a larger set
of records, whether other amateur surveyors or state/federal records (I
have received notice from the USFWS that some of my reports have been
added to their database, etc.) I use the term 'database' as a general
reference to any large set of organized, catagorized data (a home file,
a public computer site, a business file, a civil file, etc.) whether one
based on my professional endeavors in molecular environmental science or
my business in personal financial analysis OR a database into which my
years and years of bird surveys, or even one key survey, may be included.
