Subject: American Dippers

While birding in northeast Oregon this past week-end, we saw 5 or 6
American Dippers
under the bridge at the Hilyard Junction, exit 252, Delorme page 86, C-3-4.
They were flying about and calling at dusk. They appeared to making their
"home" under the bridge.
The same week-end we saw, among other things, three Rough-legged Hawks east
of LeGrande, OR. Two were adults on the ground pulling apart and eating
prey. The third was an immature perched on a the cross beam on a pole.
