Alongside the Boeing Commercial Airplane Group building at 8th N and Park
Ave. N in Renton. Monday, October 26th around 2:00 pm.

Several of us saw a very large bird (great blue heron size or larger).
Snow white with black wings. Long legs. Appeared to be a leg band on.
None of us are really birders. We decided it was a crane, since we had
heard about a crane migration on the radio. Last night I checked in three
bird books and could not find a photo remotely matching this bird. It was
not a whooping or sandhill, nor a wood stork. It was too large with too
long legs to be any type of sea bird. We saw it fly off and it was
definitely very large wingspan. Could it have been an escapee from a zoo,
since it was banded??
