A friend of mine who is not on Tweeters posted this e-mail to me. I haven't
seen the bird yet, but thought I would pass it on and see if anyone else is
aware of it.

"Don't know if you saw the white stork that was hanging out in Newcastle a
month or so ago.

I've talked to a woman at Kenworth trucks this morning and she told me this
bird has been hanging out there since Friday. Says it is there in the morning
and often gone during the middle of the day and then back again late
afternoon. She says it is ok to drive into their parking lot to see the bird.

You probably know where they are, off Sunset exit off 405 and in that Boeing
area. She is very concerned about the bird and whether it will make it thru
the winter. Says she is about to knit a sweater and booties!"
