Sightings for Saturday, October 31st

The MOURNING WARBLER is still in the Cora Brown subdivision on Sea Island.
The bird's persistent, loud chip note is the best clue to its presence,
though its skulking nature makes it difficult to see in the area's thick
brush. To look for this bird, park at Grauer and McDonald, proceed pass
the log barrier along the lane and scale the dirt mound to the north. Go
past a water-filled white metal structure, walk to the right along the old
roadway and follow the wooden plank over the ditch. A natural corridor of
extremely dense brambles and maple trees will be straight ahead and the
bird is usually found at or near ground level.

A HARRIS' SPARROW and an AMERICAN TREE SPARROW were at the base of the
orange and white tower at McDonald Beach on Sea Island.

Two Brant were at the end of the Tsawwassen jetty in the habitat
compensation area. A Crested Mynah was at 2nd and Wylie in Vancouver and a
Northern Shrike was at 102nd Ave and 108th Street in Surrey.

Sightings for Friday, October 30th

The MOURNING WARBLER was seen again in the Cora Brown subdivision on Sea
Island.

An immature HARRIS' SPARROW was again located near the orange and white
tower to the west of MacDonald Beach on Sea Island and an immature NORTHERN
SHRIKE was near the tank farm on Grauer road, Sea Island.

Two late CINNAMON TEALS were at Centennial Beach and two MARBLED GODWITS
were again at Beach Grove, Tsawwassen. Ambleside in N Vancouver had 7
RING-NECKED DUCKS.

Sightings for Thursday, October 29th
The MOURNING WARBLER was seen in the Cora Brown subdivision on Sea Island.
Also on Sea Island, an immature HARRIS' SPARROW was near the orange and
white tower at MacDonald Beach and a NORTHERN SHRIKE was near the gas
station at the east end of Grauer road. Two PARASITIC JAEGERS were seen
from the Iona south jetty.

A WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILL was coming to a feeder in Burnaby and an ANNA'S
HUMMINGBIRD was seen at 140th Street and 29th Ave in S Surrey.
