Just had a belated report of 3 ad and 4 imm sandhill cranes in the
Ellensburg area on 8/23. Can anyone else verify this report?

For those of you interested, the Second Annual Sandhill Crane Festival
in Othello is scheduled for March 27, 1999. Please let me know what
you'd like to see for organized field trips on 3/28 other than crane
viewing. Something with shrub steppe maybe? In order for the
community to really support the Crane Festival we need to show
businesses that they can benefit, and motel business for Sunday
activities is a start. Hope to have a two day event before too long,
but it is dependant on attendance. Randy Hill, Othello.
