Lorna & I made a quick round-trip to Omak Sunday (9/30)
evening, but we did manage to note that some of the
large rafts (100's) of ducks have begun to return to the
Columbia River, particularly just above Wells Dam. Lesser
Scaup and Am. Wigeon were the most notable.

Also the first American Wigeon showed up at Larsen Lake with 5 this morning.
American Coots are starting to come back. Where do all the coots in the
Seattle area go during the summer? Do they stay on the west side of the
mountains?
