Idaho and E. Washington Tweets,

At Mann Lake this morning was a single AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER and 3 STILT
SANDPIPERS among the more usual species. The plover appeared to be a
juvenile and Hayman, Marchant, and Prater suggest that juveniles are the
most likely interior migrants in the fall. Also present were a good number
of sparrows in the Willows surrounding the lake including Chipping, Vesper,
Savvanah, and White-crowned and who knows what else might turn up with some
effort. A handful of American Pipits also passed through so I guess they are
now on the move.

I've been visiting Mann Lake semi-regularly since July and have had 19
species of shorebirds so far. The lake is going to be drawn down over the
next few months so the shorebirding should continue to be good.

Charles.
