FYI for those keeping track of Purple Martin sightings

This AM at 11:13, at Todd Tannery's Hylebos Mudflats nesting box
project, I spotted two non-adult birds flying/foraging above the far
east end of the mudflats. Another purple martin was heard at about the
same time on the south side of Commencement Bay.

On Tuesday morning at about 10:15 about 1 mile west of Hylebos site, 1
adult and 5 non-adults spent the better part of an hour on and around
the pilings where 3 nesting boxes are. Interestingly enough, the
non-adults were going in and out of the nesting boxes, then flying high
above them for a distance and then returning. As I said, this kept up
for about an hour, while the adult male perched on a piling and offered
up an astoundingly profuse series of vocalizations.

Partner just called out from Deck went out to investigate.....12:15 9/6
there are 3 yes 3 Ospreys along the North shore of Commencemnt Bay all
making dives for fish.
