Hi Birders,

I am forwarding information on this pelagic trip for the real die-hard pelagic
birders. The boat is sound and comfortable. You should only consider this
trip if you have already been on a number of pelagic trips. This is not a
trip for a first timer, because if you find out that you suffer from sea-
sickness, it will be a very long, long tirp.

I have already sent my check.

Great birding and find that next lifer,

John (One of Birders2)
John + Irma = 2, we are birders, too.

As a reminder, I have a fall pelagic trip scheduled out of Santa Barbara
for any Calbirders who are interested. The November 13-15, 1998 trip will
be a 48-hour Rodriguez Seamount/deepwater voyage. We will leave Santa
Barbara Harbor at 2200 hrs Friday night, 11/13/98, and return at approx.
2200 hrs Sunday night,
11/15/98. The boat will be available for early boarding on Friday evening,
11/13. I need to confirm or cancel this trip by October 10, 1998. The trip
will cost $285 (including all meals and berth). This trip will be on the
CONDOR -- 90 ft in length, 22 ft beam, full galley and berths for 49. The
boat will head for deep water west of Point Conception, including the Santa
Lucia Escarpment and Rodriguez Seamount, and Arguello Canyon. Other mounts
and features south and west of San Miguel Island may also come into play.
The trip should be good for Pterodroma petrels, jaegers, storm-petrels,
alcids, tropicbirds, shearwaters and albatrosses. Cetacean sitings should
also be great (with a good chance for unusual species).

If you want to reserve a spot, please send me a check for $285 per person
and I will sign you up. If you have questions, email me or phone
905/648-1331 after about 1830 hrs PST.

Good birding to all-

PETER
