Charles Swift just returned from Mann Lake, Nez Perce Co., ID (just
east of Lewiston) and reported a single RED PHALAROPE. If my memory
is correct, this is only Idaho's third record, all records being from Mann
Lake. He also reports 8 Marbled Godwits, 2 American Golden Plovers,
Common Tern, American White Pelican, etc.

Directions? From the north side of Lewiston, take US 12 in Lewiston,
crossing the Clearwater River. Just over the bridge, take the first
left toward East Lewiston, and immediately turn left onto East Main
Street. Follow East Main to the blinking yellow light and turn right
onto Lapwai (aka Lindsay Creek) Road. Follow Lindsay Creek (Lapwai
veers off to the left) for about 5 miles to Grelle Avenue. Turn left
onto Grelle and follow it through a sharp (20 mph) right turn. Take
the next left (Powers Avenue) and go 1.3 miles to the reservoir
(straight past the grain towers).
