Tweeters,

As Kas noted, the RED PHALAROPE, present at Mann Lake yesterday morning,
appears to have left. I suspect that it did not sucumb to the Peregrine
Falcon (which I observed chasing a peep madly around) as it was present
after the Peregrine had left. Also the Marbled Godwits and American Avocet
are no longer present.

Still present this morning were an AMERICAN WHITE PELICAN, 4 AMERICAN
GOLDEN-PLOVERS, a 1st winter FRANKLIN'S GULL, and a BONAPARTE'S GULL, all
pretty good birds for this part of Idaho. Also a good number of the
shorebirds are still present, most species which have been regular there for
several weeks. The number of KILLDEER has increased dramatically, there are
at least 200-300, perhaps more (I didn't try to count them). There were also
5 sparrow species including a VESPER SPARROW, lots of AMERICAN PIPITS, and 3
swallow species (BARN, CLIFF, BANK) still present.

Good Birding,
Charles.
