A little late for this time, but here is a suggestion for the next time.

Go to a fabric store and purchase some light weight waterproof nylon, and one
foot of elastic. Make sure the piece of nylon is a couple inches wider then the
circumference of the scope and a couple inches longer then the length of the
scope. Now stretch the elastic about half way and pin it to one end of the width
of the nylon about 1/2" from the edge. Fold the nylon over the elastic and sew it
using a zig-zag stich across the nylon.

If that is as clear as mud we will go on to the next step.

The end that has the elastic in it will be all wrinkled. Grab that with your
gruby little hands and stretch it around the large end of the scope and pin it
together. Don't stretch it all the way, leave enough stretch to allow you to put
it on and off easily. Okey--remove it from the scope and sew it together--remove
the pin of course. :-) At the other end of the material sew a small piece of
velcro. This is there to keep the cover from blowing away when it is windy.

So what is this??? It is a removable waterproof hood for a scope or a camera
lense. It works great for my 300mm lense (thanks to Sandy doing the sewing)
Just slip the elastic end over the large end of the scope and let the rest of the
material lay across the top of the scope length ways and attach the velcro around
the small end. You can still reach up under the cover to adjust the focus ring no
matter what kind it is.

Oh ya--patent pending of course. ,-)

The material costs about a dollar two ninety eight. Huhh??

Seriously--naaa I don't feel like getting serious.

If you don't understand this--email Sandy. She can probably explain it better
then I can.
