Dear Tweets,

I had the opportunity to fit in a side jaunt to the Olympic Game Farm
north of Sequim and saw 1 Emperor Goose with a large flock of Canadian
Geese on 9/15/98. This was reported earlier by Bob Bogalheid.

On 9/16/98, I had the opportunity to sea kayak around Port Ludlow in the
evening hours and was surprised at how few waterfowl have returned yet
to Puget Sound. Our total waterfowl sightings, were one pair of Surf
Scoters. However, at dusk I found 20 COMMON TERNS roosting on the boom
of a small sail boat just outside of the Pt. Ludlow Marina.
Additionally, there were 6 BLACK TURNSTONES chasing each other about on
the deck, churring and creating such havoc, that they would occasionally
cause one of the terns to fly off its perch. I have never viewed such
aggressive (playful?) behavior in turnstones before.

Good Birding, Marcus
