As a result of this recent "gannet" thread and the discussion of lost or
misplaced birds, I thought I should mention how I came across a notice
for a lost/escaped bird up on Capitol Hill. There were flyers posted
everywhere with a picture of a big white exotic bird, that looked
something like a cockatoo, but I'm really not sure, as I'm not familiar
at all with exotic species (it seemed the flyer didn't mention the type
of bird, just the bird's picture and description). The owner was
actually there next to one of the posted flyers so I talked to him. His
bird escaped from his place up on Capitol Hill, Seattle. He didn't get
into the discussion in much detail except for the fact that he was upset
and got in trouble with the City of Seattle for posting flyers on
telephone poles and had to remove them or he'd get fined $50 for each
flyer. If someone is interested in talking to him to find out more
about his lost bird, his telephone number is (206) 322-1709.

If someone talks to him, perhaps you might want to let the rest of know
what bird it is or its status.
