Hi Tweeters,
We made a fast trip to the coast this weekend. The weather was good and
we had a great time. Added thirteen "lifers" to our list. We visited
ponds and beaches and saw the following new birds.

SNOWY EGRET
CLAPPER RAIL
MARBLED GODWIT
WILLET
RED KNOT
ELEGANT TERN
COMMON TERN
BLACK SKIMMER
ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRD
BLACK PHOEBE
SABINE'S GULL
CALIFORNIA TOWHEE
CASSIN'S KINGBIRD

BTW...The "coast" was in San Diego :-) :-) ;-)
We were fortunate to have a personal tour of San Diego by Mary Beth, who
we meet through Cal Bird. Thanks to her for helping us find these
birds.

On the drive home from the Spokane airport we added another lifer. There
were six
WILD TURKEYs east of Creston. Also just west of Davenport were still two
SWAINSON'S HAWKS. North of Creston on a side road were nine MOUNTAIN
BLUEBIRDS and several "butterbutts" YELLOW RUMPED WARBLERS.

Great trip - Good birding - S&J
