It is amazing to read the various reports of incoming birds. Over the
weekend the Juncos arrived in our backyard (Issaquah plateau, next to Pine
Lake County Park) in good number. I was also surprised to see a small group
of Varied Thrushes who were eating up berries as fast as they could find
them.

I am assuming that these Varied Thrushes are moving through and the ones
who will spend the winter with us haven't arrived yet. Any ideas on where
these are coming from and where they are going?
