While in Ballard yesterday, I heard a flock of birds that caught my
attention. It didn't take long before 6-8 medium sized green birds with
long tails flew over me and headed East. Unfortunately, I didn't see much
more detail. My brother in law has since told me that he sees/hears these
loud birds about this time every year (in Ballard). My guess is Monk
Parakeets, but I've only been here a year and don't know if this colonial
species has been seen in Seattle. Anybody have any ideas what I saw?
