The grand opening for the Kent Ponds area, officially called the Green River
Natural Resources Area, will be Monday, Oct. 5 at 5:00 p.m. across the street
from Van Doren Landing Park at 21861 Russell Road. A large tent will be set
up adjacent to the parking lot. Directions:

>From North: Take I-5 south, take Orillia Rd exit and turn left. Follow
Orillia Rd as it turns into 212th. After it crosses the Green R., turn right
onto Russell Road.

>From South: Take Hwy. 167 north and take Willis St. exit and turn left. Take
second right on Wash. Ave. and go north on Wash. for about one mile. Turn
left on 228th and follow it until it turn north onto Russell Rd.

Everyone is invited to attend. The Kent Mayor and member of Kent City Council
will be there.
