A number of new fall birds have been arriving at the Lake Hills Greenbelt the
past couple of days.

1 female Greater Scaup - at Phantom L.
1 female Ruddy Duck - at Phantom L.
6 Hooded Mergansers - at Phantom L.
3 Dark-eyed Junco
1 Ruby-crowned Kinglet
27 American Coots compared to only 6-10 a week ago.

Also saw a Virginia Rail at Phantom L. (usually only hear them) and an
immature Cooper's Hawk at Larsen L.

In our backyard the first Dark-eyed Juncos (3) and 1 Varied Thrush showed up
on the 23rd. I believe this is the earliest I have seen a VATH in our
backyard.
