On September 14, Tom Aversa of Seattle birding in Groves Park in Richland
found MACGILLIVRAY'S, TOWNSEND'S and BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLERS, 2
WESTERN TANAGERS, 2 EVENING GROSBEAKS, and 6 LINCOLN'S SPARROWS. He also
saw 2 RED-EYED VIREOS at Madame Dorian Park (near the Walla Walla Delta)
and another at the Peninsula Habitat Management Unit.

Patty Pollari has reported the following birds in her West Richland yard:
an immature GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW on September 14, a VARIED THRUSH and
WESTERN TANAGER on September 15, and about 6 PINE SISKINS on September 16.

A(n immature) SABINE'S GULL was seen on the Yakima Delta on September 17 by
Nancy LaFramboise and Ruth Fischer.

Nancy Darby reported SANDHILL CRANES circling over Finley on September 19
and that same day I (Bob Woodley) saw about 100 Sandhill Cranes over
Columbia Point in Richland.

Also on September 19, Mike and MerryLynn Denny found 4 AMERICAN
GOLDEN-PLOVERS, a RED PHALAROPE, an immature PARASITIC JAEGER and an adult
SABINE'S GULL all on the Walla Walla Delta. They also observed a
WHITE-FACED IBIS on the ponds just east of Iowa Beef. The bird was
discovered earlier by Ken Knittle.

A vagrant male BLACK-THROATED BLUE WARBLER was found on Bateman Island on
September 20 by Craig Corder and Judy Stevens but could not be relocate a
little later that day by several searchers.
