Did a bit of birding this morning at the Fill and Discovery Park (south
parking lot to the lighthouse and back). Lots of activity but nothing too
extraordinary.
Highlights include:

immature Brown Pelican off the south beach at Discovery Park
immature Franklin's Gull with about 600 gulls on the north beach there
20+ Heermann's Gulls there also
the N. Mockingbird was seen briefly on the south meadow where it was
reported previously
a flock on the trail just above the south beach had a Black-throated Gray,
Yellow, and Orange-crowned Warblers and a Warbling Vireo
two Horned Larks flushed from the "dime lot" at the Fill
an immature female Cooper's at the fill along Ravenna Creek
a dark Merlin over the south meadow at Discovery Park
a flock of ca. 100 Vaux's Swifts foraging low over the Fill
lots of White-crowned, Golden-crowned, Fox, and Savannah Sparrows and a few
Lincoln's

No sign of the Brewer's Sparrow or Scrub Jay at the Fill nor of the Blue Jay
and Lewis's Woodpecker at Discovery Park
