An incredible weekend that required that I get a lot of reading done so I
planted myself on the deck and with binoculars at the ready read on. The
birds kept it interesting. Highlights of the weekend included Pacific Slope
Flycatchers (best that I could determine) (two of them on Sunday),
Townsend's and Black-thr Gray Warblers, Varied and Swainson's Thrush,
Red-br. Sapsucker, Golden-crowned Sparrows, and Golden-cr Kinglets (heard
only). The Mountain Ash berries are doing their share in attracting most
of these.

Its interesting that the Varied Thrushes, given an abundance of natural
food ,do not come anywhere near the feeders.
