Barbara Clarke reports that as of March 9, several hundred GREATER
WHITE-FRONTED GEESE remained in the ponds and fields at McNary NWR.

On March 10, Nancy LaFramboise, Ruth Fischer and I (Bob Woodley) found 6
PURPLE FINCHES in WE Johnson Park in Richland and on March 12, we saw 40
SANDHILL CRANES just north of Richland.

Also on March 12, Dennis Rockwell found 4 WESTERN BLUEBIRDS in Hover Park
(Finley).

On March 14, Sam Derding reported 10 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE at Wallula

SANDHILL CRANES at the upper end of Scootney Reservoir. Laurie Ness found
a GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW in Chamna Park and a pair of courting DOWNY
WOODPECKERS and a BROWN CREEPER in Chiawana Park. And I (BW) found a
ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER in Leslie Groves Park (Richland).

On March 15, about 100 SANDHILL CRANES flew over my (BW) Richland yard and
the following day, the LESSER GOLDFINCH was last seen at my feeder.

Mary Nowakowski reported a SPOTTED TOWHEE in her yard on March 17.

Lastly, this morning I found 2 LONG-BILLED CURLEWS in the field south of
Battelle Blvd and bordered on the east by George Washington Way.
