The trip to Olympias Black Lake Meadows was quite rewarding.
First there was the first male Rufous Hummingbird of the season for the
area, than i had high count on Ring-necked Ducks, 7 males and 7 females.
Than i scared 16 Snipes up comming verry close, so there flew up and on the
other end of to the Wetland.Surprise was that many Canada Goose 42 highest
i ever counted there,with one verry smal one (smaler than a Mallard Duck)
smaler than the one i photographed on Ocean Shores (the rare Aleutian).I
believe this is the Minima race. This little Goose realy stood out, even in
flight one can realy pick it out even in the distance.
I also picked up an unexpected species on Percival Creek 3 Common
Merganser, 1 male and 2 females.
I saw this three bird on the bridge looking down, there was standing on the
rocks, this is where i usual get the Kingfisher.We are having now 111
species since we been going there since spring 1997
The weather was sunny with no wind time :11.30 AM to 2.15PM

It is advised to go in rubber boots, the water is high in places, in order
get close to some species
