Steve and I located the Black Duck again on Sunday. It was sitting
on the island in the west levee pond. The overall coloring is very
dark, and it stood out without binoculars. The bill is grayish green
(female, right?); speculum purple, with no white that we could see;
and the legs were darker than the Mallard standing next to it (is
this an actual difference, or could the feet have just been dirty?).
Also, it appeared to me to be slightly chunkier than the Mallards.

We didn't see much else out of the ordinary, but there are a few
common goldeneyes around, we found 3 males in the marina at Hell's
Gate SP.
