Hi Tweets,

I just wanted to let you know what was going on at Shoreview Park...

I haven't seen this much movement at Shoreview since last fall. There
was a Swainson's Thrush singing in a tree on the hillside. This is a
couple of weeks earlier than I would expect them. There were also lots
of singing Hermit Thrushes.

Pine Siskins were just about everywhere. I would guess that there were
a couple hundred split in several flocks of about 30-40 birds each.
Some were carrying nest material (which also seems a little odd).

A small flock of Red Corssbills. This is only the second time I have
seen Crossbills here. Jason Starfire has seen them a few more, but
they are certainly unusual.

The usual assortment of sparrows (White-crowned, Song, Fox,
Golden-crowned), with lots of Golden-crowneds, and only one Savannah.
