If you don't have plans May 15 this year, please consider helping on the
annual Yakima County Birdathon. Yakima County is only 2.5 hours from
Seattle. Last Spring we had a record 182 species.
We divide the county into about 12-15 routes and go out and tally all the
birds. Some groups bird the whole day, others 2/3 or 1/2 days. If
interested, respond and I'll see if I can get you in a group.

By the way, we still need leaders for several primo routes like White Pass
(last year 107 species), Toppenish NWR and Ft. Simcoe (last year 83
species). Any birtders out there with good ears want to tackle one of
these?
