Hi Tweters

This is in response to Bill Wards post regarding fighting canaa geese.
he asked "...anyone..share insight on tweeters"

So, I looked in 'the birders handbook' by Paul Ehlich, David Dobkin,
and darryl Wheye.

In the behavirol part of the book, p. 5 under visual displays
"....aggression.."
p. 7..."caada geese often pump their heads up and down just before
attacking. ....../aggressive geese may rear up and spread their wings
when on land." this is all I found in that book.

The book "Ducks, Geese and Swans of North America" byFrank Bellrose, has
lots if information covering a big variety of subjects about each bird
that it lists, but.....
very little about the kind of behavior that was observed at Nisqually.
P. 159 states, under territory, .........."aggressive calls and
displays........more aggressive.....often pursuing an invading bird into
the air."

I thought I would find more information in both of these books...oh
well.
Hope the above is a little helpful..
