Dear Tweets:
We followed Randy Hill's advice yesterday and went to see the Sandhill
Cranes. We found them and they thrilled the seven-year-old. We also
paddled our canoe up Hutchinson/ShinerLakes there at Columbia NWR and
found a Say's Phoebe nest with eggs, about 4 feet off the water on a
shelf on a basalt cliff. We just took a quick glance, so as not to keep
her off the nest, and I think there were six eggs. They were white.
Once before we found a Say's Phoebe nest on basalt and to me the eggs
looked very pale pink.
