Sightings for Sunday, April 11

The Cassin's Auklet was seen again today east of Canada Place and the
Tufted Duck was again seen by the Stone Bridge in Stanley Park.

Deer Lake Park had a Townsend's Solitaire, a Northern Shrike, two Pileated
Woodpeckers and the spring arrival Osprey. A Red-naped Sapsucker was at QE
Park in the poplars north of the Bowling Green.

Iona had two Long-billed Curlews flying up-river, 2 Northern Shrike, two
Ring-necked Ducks on the outer pond and two Western Bluebirds NW of the
washrooms.

A Northern Goshawk was seen in overflight at Bear Creek Park in Surrey. An
American Bittern has been seen in Pitt Meadows for the last few days. To
locate this bird, park at the first bridge on Neaves Rd and then walk west
along the north dike. Two Long-billed Curlews were also seen at this
location.

Sightings for Saturday, April 10

The Cassin's Auklet was seen in what is becoming its usual location east of
Canada Place. Also seen at this location was a Peregrine Falcon. The
Tufted Duck was again seen by the Stone Bridge in Stanley Park. A Caspian
Tern, the first of the northward migration, was heard in overflight in the
vicinity of 21st Ave and 154th Street is south Surrey.

In a late report for Friday, a Townsend's Solitaire was at Deer Lake Park.

Sightings for Friday, April 9

The Cassin's Auklet was seen east of Canada Place. Four Eared Grebes were
seen from the White Rock Pier and eight Mountain Bluebirds were on the Pitt
River Dike. In a late report for Thursday, two Crested Mynas were at 6th
and Yukon in Vancouver.
