There was an article in today's Big O, too. A few days ago,
the Big O published an article based on the fact that other
researchers have concluded that the terns aren't impacting wild
fish (the data implicates them in terms of predation
on hatchery fish, which apparently mill around at the mouth
of the Columbia much longer than wild fish).

At least NMFS isn't just getting rid of the terns entirely
in one step.

This is a crumbling to pressure from fishermen and more
importantly economic interests rather than a step taken
based on science, IMO.

We're getting corm hazing, too.

Shooting marine mammals will be next...
