I'm inclined to disagree with Roger's suggestion; it would be difficult, in
my opinion, to mistake an ibis' bill for a cormorant's, even if seen only
briefly. I have no idea of the status of ibis in NM, but the back of
white-faced ibis can look greenish under certain lighting conditions. A few
more details would be helpful, though: size, relative size of bill to bird,
habitat, etc.
