After looking all day from Olympia to the Kent area looking for the first
Dragonflies of this season, with no results. Any day now if the weather is
staying warm. There was some first sighting in Richfield last weekend.I
still have large groups of Varied Thrushes.This morning there wa six right
in our drive way on the cement walking all over the place. What behavier is
that? When i came home this evening, i had for some reason large amount of
birds. 2 white -crowned Sparrows (we are not in Sparrow Habitat)
4Townsend's Warblers all try to get in to the birth bath. Red-brested
Nuthatch going in to the birdhouse. This is the second time there using a
bird house.I am verry exited about this. Than i look in my back yard only
seeing part of the bird, I screamed loud for Patrick PLEASE COME FAST WE
HAVE A NEW BIRD IN OUR YARD, IT LOOKS LIKE A BLACK- backed WAGTAIL. But by
the time Patrick came to the window the bird came out in full few. And
guess it was a VARIED THRUSH only the part what is orange was in white,
This bird was stunning looking, i took few photos hope full there turning
out good. With all the VARIED THRUSHES we had over the years , this is the
first bird in this plumage.It looked like a different bird all together.
