For those who are enjoying reading about the Tacoma Peregrines, I recommend
Red-tails in Love by Marie Winn. The lead characters are a pair of RTHA that
nest in Central Park, NYC. It documents the activities over a six year
period. It is also about the general avian population and the local birding
and birders. For me the book was fun because it reflects the insights one
gains by birding a small area regularly over a period of years. Perhaps it
also highlights the importance of greenspaces in urban environments for both
the birds and the birders.
