Hi Tweets,

I am sorry I couldn't get this out yesterday, but I couldn't get on the
internet when I got home last night. I had a very enjoyable walk at
the Montlake Fill. I didn't catch the Dunlin or any Cinnamon Teal,
but, I saw the Barn Swallow...among other things.

But first, I must sadly report that the Mallard family has been reduced
to 2 ducklings. As I was leaving the fill, I saw a crow pick up one of
them and carry him off :-( He was peeping all the way, and the crow
was followed by two others, and the hen Mallard, while dad watched over
the other two (there were still crows within five feet of the family).

Also, the goose family... Seven??? I ran into them three times and
every time, I counted 8. Anyway, they are not the killer geese. I
accidentally found out where their nest is. Needless to say, I got
banged up a little bit by an unexpected attack from behind. I was glad
I had a backpack on, but now wish I had a helmet.

Well, having said that, I guess I should say what else I saw. I didn't
keep a list, so this is all off the top of my head.
