Just saw my first Cassin's Finch of the season at the feeder outside my
kitchen window before leaving for work this morning. Their long slender
bodies and crests always make me think of teenagers with red mohawks. Saw
one tree swallow on the wire over my creek. There are 3 pairs of W.
bluebirds starting nests in the birdhouses. A nice way to start the day.
