Sightings for Friday, April 16

Our two current regulars were in their usual locations: the Cassin's Auklet
was east of Canada Place and the Tufted Duck was near the stone bridge in
Stanley Park. Three Grey-crowned Rosy Finches were at the far end of the
Cypress Bowl Parking lot and another 10 birds, including up to two
grey-capped, were at Lighthouse Park, Point Roberts.

Centennial Beach had a Mountain Bluebird near the tower at the north end of
the beach. Two Peregrine Falcons were on high-rises near Guilford in
Surrey. A singing White-throated Sparrow was at 32nd and Balaclava this
morning.

Sightings for Thursday, April 15

The Cassin's Auklet was relocated today at its usual location east of
Canada Place and the Tufted Duck was seen on Lost Lagoon in Stanley Park.
The bird often seems to be near the Stone Bridge between 3 and 5 in the
afternoon. Also in Stanley Park, a Rock Sandpiper was near Ferguson Point,
a Townsend's Solitaire was near the Nature House and a male Oldsquaw was on
Lost Lagoon.

11 Whimbrel were on the Clio Canada polo field at 17948 8th Ave in S
Surrey.

Sightings for Wednesday, April 14

An American White Pelican spent about an hour this afternoon on the pond at
the entrance to Trinity Western University in Langley. The bird was last
seen flying towards Langley. An American Tree Sparrow was feeding on the
newly sown grass near the picnic tables at Grant Narrows, Pitt Lake
management Area. A Northern Shrike, 2 singing Savannah Sparrows and a
possible albino Northern Harrier were south of the nature trail.

Iona had 4 Northern rough-winged Swallows, a Barn Swallow and a Ring-necked
Duck. A Marbled Godwit was at Beach Grove and an American Kestrel was near
the 26th street overpass on Highway 17.

In late reports for Tuesday, the Cassin's Auklet was east of Canada Place
and four Turkey Vultures were over Highway 1 near Mt Lehman.
