While on an exploratory trip, prior to an East Lake Washington Field Trip, I
saw an owl sitting on the nest at Cariboo Road. I remarked that it looked
like the bottom of the nest was falling apart. There was a lot of nesting
material hanging down and away from the primary nest. This was on Wednesday,
March 24. When we checked the nest on Sunday, March 28, while on the field
trip, there were no owls present and the loose nesting material was gone.

I was out of town for several days last week, but the Red-breasted Sapsucker
was at the rainwater downspout today, 6:13 a.m. and 7 a.m. This would be
Day 24.
