Hi All

Well dragged my bike out today. First time since the clouds came in some
time last year. We have a nice 6 mile loop along a dike that protects
the surrounding farms from two rivers.

It's not your typical farm country though, they moved all the cows out
of this area last year and now we have to be content with Llamas lowing
softly in the meadow, peacocks calling SOFTLY in the background and
ostriches ostriching.

The best sightings for the ride were: Northern Shrike (1/4 mi E of
Neaves Rd on S dike N Alouette R), nesting Bald Eagle (1/2 mi W of
Neaves Rd on above dike) and American Bittern (1/2 mi W of Neaves on N
dike S Alouette R) <same dike different river>.

Also there was a Marsh Wren every 1/4 mi as well as a couple of Common
Yellow Throats and about 20 Yellow Rumps (in a grove of cotton woods).
