Today (Sun.) at the Skagit Game Range, in the field
just north of the
farm buildings: 5000 plus (guestimate) Snow Geese,
putting on
a nice show by feeding in the corn stubble, right up to
the edge
of the road. Great photo op from car window.
Occasional
arriving flights from another group of a couple of
thousand out
beyond the end of the dike trail added to the
spectacular viewing.

If you miss this probable last late chance to see the
geese, the
consolation prize will be the tulips (late also) just
now coming into
prime.
